TAROT Simplified
There are hundreds of books written about the Tarot. There are classes ranging from free to hundreds of dollars $$$ for HOW to use the tarot. There are legends and stories and promises. Let ICS uncomplicated what the Tarot is and what it can do. Our events are always potluck and family friendly, so feel free to bring a dish to share if you’d like. Witchcraft Survives
For example, ten years ago in October, our beloved and Founding High Priest, Lord Mordred died by suicide. Lady Airrawind’s name on my phone before dawn that morning alerted me something was terribly wrong. Lady Airrawind is a true hero from those days of Temple Of The Inner Circle, having kept the Bell Book and Candle open for business two plus years past any viability, and teaching the final TOTIC classes there and in her own home after the store closed. She also was first on the scene at Lady Morgana’s house and was in charge of cleaning after authorities left.
Then there was Lord Mordred’s memorial service. Lady Morgana and Lady Aisliong arranged the service at Davis. Lady Morgana requested ‘his boys’ Lords White Bison, Airebus, and Tanys to deliver eulogies. Lady Atheona asked that everyone send her their favorite ‘Mordy-ism’ and then she made the most incredible video montage of photos and Lord Mordred sayings. The outpouring of support and affection was overwhelming that night and for weeks after.
And of course, Samhain was upon us. Samhain is often a difficult Sabbat for Witches, as our beloved dead are invited into the Ring with us to mingle and enjoy the food and drink we lay out for their Dumb Supper, and Lord Mordred of course was very beloved by all of us. Our Witches performed the Samhain Ritual beautifully and lovingly, and Lady Morgana, who was initially hesitant of holding our Samhain Ritual and indeed hesitant of keeping the Temple going without Lord Mordred, came around and started making plans for the Inner Circle Tradition’s future up there in the mountain with me.
These were incredibly difficult weeks. Many tears were shed, and many kept asking “Why?”. But Witchcraft helped us continue, singly and together. This was ten years ago, and it still does. Lord Mordred often advised
“When things get tough, dig into your Religion.”
You will find strength in Witchcraft, whenever you need it, and however you practice it. We certainly do.

Yule Log Crafting
with Inner Circle Sanctuary

You will need:
*Wood log with 3 holes drilled on top
*3-taper candles in combinations of
red, white, and green
OR
black, white, and red
OR
silver, white, and gold.
*Various seasonal decorations like pinecones, evergreen bundles, twine, birds, nuts, solstice ornaments, bows, ribbons, dried fruit, garland, etc. The more natural the better. If they’re natural, you can burn them. Plastic decorations are fine to use, but you need to remove them before burning the log. Also, many of us will bring decorations to share.

*Extension Cords
*Snack and drinks to feast on while we craft together.
You’ll want a log that’s thick enough to hold all your decorations and candles. It should be either a full round log or a halved log so it’s round on top and flat on the bottom. Firewood bundles of quartered wood are not what you want. We may have logs available.
As always, our events are family-friendly and potluck, so please bring a dish if you would like.

Inner Circle Sanctuary at
Pagan Pride Day Las Vegas 2024
Our Community booth will be where we can answer questions about our coven and discuss what it takes to be a member of our group, how we practice the Craft, what our community is like, what we teach, how we teach, and how we celebrate the Gods.
At our Vendor booth, we will be selling witchcraft items made by the members of our coven. 100% of all money we collect at the vendor booth will be donated right back to Pagan Pride Day Las Vegas.

A Process for the Scrying Mirror or "Show-Stone
Photo 2 As we within ICS do not ourselves work with or deal with conjuring entities or “demons”, I used the basics of the ritual as a template for developing my own scrying-process, removing any references to the invoking of Vassago itself, and modifying the ritual for simplicity. The exact process for the creation of a show-stone or scrying-mirror, also known as a “speculum” can be found in “Mastering Witchcraft”, page 77.
This is a basic method for focus and use of the show-stone, or scrying-mirror, in Divination practices. One ideally should begin this process by first performing a relaxation-meditation to clear ones’ mind, followed by a ritual cleansing of their working-space and magickally “centering” themselves. I find that the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram is ideal for that purpose. It is also ideal to utilize the “Square of Mercury” ritual prior to use of this and for any Divination practice, found on page 64-66 of “Mastering Witchcraft’.
The Process
2. Have your Show-Stone placed upon your altar pentacle.
3. Seat yourself comfortably before your Altar, and gently and without strain, fix your gaze upon the surface of your show-stone. Take slow, meditative deep breaths through the entire process.
4. At the same time, With All of the Force of Your Imagination, visualize Blue Fire and radiance playing around the show-stone, and audibly state your question or the nature of your Divination. (*NOTE: You may beforehand write down your inquiry upon a piece of parchment, and place it beneath the base of your show-stone.)
5. As you focus and gaze upon the surface, it will appear to fade away, your gaze will appear to shift out of focus, then spring back again. This effect will continue for a while, due to the shifting perspectives. You may also notice a constrictive sensation around your forehead and between your eyes. Do Not shift your focus from the surface, even if images seem to form at the side of your gaze.
6. Once you have completed the ritual, write down any and all images and impressions in your magickal journal.
