Waning Moon Ritual with Inner Circle Sanctuary Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 6:00 PM PT
The waning phase of the moon is a good time for work that involves releasing things, getting rid of unwanted habits, stopping problems, and generally moving things away from you. “As the moon wanes, so may my….” whatever you’d like. Spell ideas: Getting rid of money problems Reversing negative energy Protection Stopping unwanted emotions Breaking bad habits Etc Our live ritual will be semi-participatory with a mixture of watching the ritual from outside the ring and then coming inside the ring to create and empower a spell. We will be doing a reversing spell to keep negative energy out of our lives. Candles and anointing oil will be provided. We teach our students to do spell work during each moon phase, even if you don’t NEED anything. The waxing phase is a time of growth and bringing things to you. The waning phase is a time of release and keeping things away from you. For example, doing a money spell during the waxing phase will bring money and abundance to you. Then, a reversing spell during the waning phase will keep problems associated with money away from you.
Our events are always potluck, so feel free to bring a dish to share.
There is no dress code for this event. Our students will be wearing their magical robes and accessories during this ritual. You are welcome to wear a ritual robe if you have one. If not, casual clothes is perfectly fine. We ask for a $10 donation to our monthly events. Please consider one of these Southern Nevada charities that we love. Or, choose your own. Please message us a picture of the receipt so that we can keep track of the donations for posterity.
We will be at the LVCCLD* Windmill Library’s Mystic Fair from 12-4. We will have a vendor booth selling various things our students have made. All money we collect will go straight back to the library. We will also be giving two lectures during the fair: one on candle magic and one on creating a spell bag.
From there we head on over to our monthly event Creating a Book of Shadows where we will talk about the various ways to journal, organize, draw, and just have fun documenting our Craft journey.
Candle Magic with Inner Circle Sanctuary Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 6 PM PT
Candle magic is the simplest and most effective way to perform spell work. Join us to learn how to layer your spells with candle colors, oils, herbs, planetary influences, and more to make your magic more effective and super fun.
This “basics” class will be filled with 30 years’ worth of Inner Circle Sanctuary’s teachings, so be prepared to take lots of notes.
We ask for a $10 donation or whatever you can afford. Please donate to a local charity and send us your receipt to gain access to the event. If you can’t donate, you should come anyway.
Our event will be held in-person AND online. If you’d like to attend the live lecture, we require proof of full Covid-19 vaccination.
The way Inner Circle Sanctuary lives with Mercury Retrograde is to stay in touch with Him, via Candle Magick. In this case, we use a Blue Candle, Mercury Oil, and draw/inscribe His Planetary Glyph and Rad (symbol of three diamonds) on it.
-For Jar Candles, this Rad can/should be carved into the wax. With Mercury Oil, we anoint the top counter-clockwise, because He appears to be moving backwards through the heavens. This is NOT a Reversing Spell, but to stay close to Him.
-If one uses Pillar or Household Candles, we suggest anointing towards one’s self, for the same purpose.
We light these candles during Mercury Retrograde, and until He is out of His shadow - when He reaches the point where Retrograde started.
****Never Leave Candles Burning Unattended!*****
Ours is a Candle Shop Tradition when it comes to spellwork, namely from Bell Book and Candle, and Cat n Cauldron, which were both home to the Temple of the Inner Circle, headed by Lady Morgana and Lord Mordred. Bell Book and Candle was the oldest Occult Shop in Las Vegas, and had its own deep roots through Tarostar and Charmaine Dey.
With the full moon tonight, I’m sure many people will be creating moon water. In theory, moon water is water that has soaked up the power and energies of the moon. It’s used for many purposes: cleaning your tools, crystals, or candles; anointing yourself with it daily; cleaning your home; feeding your plants; etc. How do you make moon water? Some instructions say to put out a bowl and let it bask in the moonlight then put it in a jar to keep until the next full moon. Others are more detailed involving herbs, chants, and crystals.
Candle Magic Basics with Inner Circle Sanctuary Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 6 PM – 9 PM
Candle magic is the simplest and most effective way to perform spell work. When we meet people who are new to the Craft, we ask what kind of spell work they like to do. Most tell us they don’t do anything because they don’t know how and are afraid of doing it wrong. This night is for those people exactly.
