With the full moon tonight, I’m sure many people will be creating moon water. In theory, moon water is water that has soaked up the power and energies of the moon. It’s used for many purposes: cleaning your tools, crystals, or candles; anointing yourself with it daily; cleaning your home; feeding your plants; etc. How do you make moon water? Some instructions say to put out a bowl and let it bask in the moonlight then put it in a jar to keep until the next full moon. Others are more detailed involving herbs, chants, and crystals. This brings up something that we try to instill in our students at Inner Circle Sanctuary. Magic is about intent and being active with your energies. Magic is about hard work and perseverance. You cannot be passive with your magic; It doesn’t just happen because you hope it will. Sure, magic is all around us, but until you direct it, it’s latent. You are a conduit for the energy surrounding us. Tap into the energy beneath your feet and direct it towards your purpose. You also have energy within yourself that you can access through chanting, visualization, and a myriad of other ways. The moon isn’t going to know that you want it to infuse your water with its energy until you ask it to, until you show it. Instead of passively putting out a bowl of water to sit in the moon light, take responsibility for your craft and put some thought into it. Consecrate your water and make it holy. Find a bowl with a reflective bottom and position it so it actually has a reflection of the moon in the water. Use a ritual to draw the moon down into the water. Put your hands in the water and charge it with your own energies. Say a hymn to the moon. Be active with your magic. The same goes for your candle spells. Instead of lighting a candle and saying a wish over it, put some energy into it. Hold it in your hands, create a swirling vortex of power inside your solar plexus, feel it thread through your arms, down to your hands, and then push it into the candle. See yourself already having your desire. Don’t dream it; be it. Inner Circle Sanctuary teaches our students to be responsible for all facets of their life, whether it be personal, academic, or magical. If you want something, YOU need to make it happen. Magic is waiting for you to guide it. -Written by Lady Anwyn Follow Inner Circle Sanctuary on Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram.

I missed the mystic fair and your Ouija Board workshop. Will there be any similar workshops?
